Ipsos Synthesio
For more general information on data collection in Redbird, check out: Getting Started With Data Collection
This guide explains how to set up access and collect data from the Synthesio platform which collects social media metrics. You can extract this data in Redbird by either selecting queries or uploading your own from a file. You will need API access enabled on your Synthesio account to use this collect App.
If you cannot see the Synthesio collection app in the left-side panel on the workflow canvas, refer to: Enabling Collection Apps Guide

\ - If you have queries you wish to pull data for that you haven't set up on the Synthesio platform, you can upload a query file listing these. Do this by clicking Choose File -> Upload
- In the Parameters section you can choose to pull Analytics (just the metrics) or full Mentions themselves.
- You can then configure your collection by selecting the following from the drop-downs:
- The dashboard within Synthesio that you are pulling data from
- The topic structure: Either topics and subtopics, or topics only
- (for Analytics only) Time granularity: Day, month, or year
- (for Mentions only) Whether you wish to include Retweets or not
- Channel Type: Earned, owned or both
- The country filter you wish to apply (you can choose multiple)
- The Topic(s) you wish to include (if you have set these up on the platform)
- Update Method allows you to select how you want your data to aggregate when you run future data pulls. Append keeps the historical data and adds the future data pulls below. Replace deletes the historical data and generates the new data in its place.
- Initial Data Load allows you to upload historical data in bulk as a one-off in the event that you have the data saved on your computer. You can upload your data as a CSV file with no leading/trailing rows or columns and Redbird will run future data collections using the configuration that you set up in previous steps.
